“Chatroulette for stoners” is a rare social network that fosters empathy
An interesting experiment.
Product design
My two cents:
Product design is the combination of interaction and interface design.
By interaction, I mean wireframes, user flows, product conceptualisation. This must be done at the first stage of product design.
Interaction also includes the visual and non-visual elements that will be presented to the user to communicate with the product (like the existence and positioning of buttons, animations and sounds).
By interface, I mean colours, typography, the overall tone, the identity (logo and co.) as well as copywriting and branding.
Interaction is how it works, interface is how it looks.
Interaction is usability (how usable the product is) and interface is aesthetics (how beautiful, delightful, etc.) the product is.

Self-driving car benefits
Taken from Seth Godin’s blog:
- Few traffic jams—cars will have a slower top speed, but rarely stop
- No traffic lights—cars talk to each other
- Dramatically less pollution Pedestrians are far safer, bicycling becomes fun again
- No parking issues—the car drives away and comes back when you need it
- Lower costs and more access for more people more often
- Instant and efficient carpooling, since the car knows who’s going where
Can’t wait.

Imagine the popular transit planner Citymapper fused to a cycle hire service and a taxi app such as Uber, with only one payment required, and the whole thing run as a public utility, and you begin to understand the scale of ambition here
How Helsinki will make automobiles obsolete. Cool stuff!

The glamour of jet travel
For anyone who has endured the post-deregulation austerity of U.S. airlines over the past few decades—uncomfortable, overcrowded, bare-bones bus journeys in the sky—the experience of flying on Emirates, Etihad, or Qatar comes close to recapturing the joy of jet travel from Pan Am’s heyday. There is a sense of fun on board, and that has come down from the top. Tim Clark says he wants to bring a bit of glamour back into flying.

Can classic moral stories promote honesty in children?
Can classic moral stories promote honesty in children?
The reason for the difference in honesty-promoting effectiveness between the “George Washington” story and the other stories was that the former emphasizes the positive consequences of honesty, whereas the latter focus on the negative consequences of dishonesty
Marginal revolution is an awesome blog too.

Product-market fit is best measured by observing how customers react to your product. Better yet, observe them interact with your product. You know you’ve achieved product-market fit when the customers intuitively understand what need the product fills for them, and they have no trouble using it, in fact they enjoy using it… in fact they start telling their friends about it, maybe even telling the world about it on Twitter or other places. That’s how you know if you’ve got product-market fit.

Soleio giving an interview to First Round Review. Makes me think of No Man’s Sky, this game where everyone has a different starting universe. Interesting comments altogether.
